Performance “With Dance Shoes in the Snow of Siberia”
The play is based on Sandra Kalniete’s book and tells the true story of several generations of one family who experienced one of the most horrific crimes of a totalitarian regime – the deportations from Soviet Latvia to Siberia in 1941 and 1949. The stories of those who were deported are so similar – the characters change, but the time, place, and lawlessness of the deportation are the same.
The performance is in Latvian and (or) Russian, with subtitles in Russian or English and Latvian.
