ERSO Day at Viimsi Artium
For the fifth year in a row, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (ERSO) takes over Viimsi Artium for an entire day of music, inviting audiences to explore the many facets of a symphony orchestra. From midday until evening, visitors can move from hall to hall and discover the rich diversity of classical music – from a musical fairy tale for children to atmospheric chamber music and a grand symphony concert.
The day begins with Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf, where each character comes to life through the sound of a different instrument. In the Barrel Gallery, an immersive audio spa experience will guide listeners through the world of contemporary chamber music, offering a space for reflection and the discovery of new sonic landscapes. The day concludes with an ERSO symphony concert conducted by Chief Conductor Olari Elts. The programme features Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor” and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”, with pianist Maksim Štšura appearing as soloist.
Spend a memorable day in Viimsi surrounded by music and let ERSO take you on an inspiring musical journey.
