Eilve Manglus exhibition
Eilve Manglus Exhibition
“Sensitive Topics” speaks of those subjects we would rather avoid – matters considered too delicate, uncomfortable, or even impolite to discuss. Yet in nature itself there are no sensitive topics and nothing that deserves to be silenced. Nature is honest. The exhibition seeks to touch the heart and awaken its conscience.
Eilve Manglus graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with an MA (2014) and BA (2005) in jewellery and blacksmithing. She is a lecturer and Head of the Metalwork Department at the Viljandi Culture Academy of the University of Tartu. Her primary field of research explores the possibilities of using photography in jewellery. In her artistic practice, Manglus combines traditional jewellery-making techniques with contemporary technological forms of expression.
The exhibitions at A-Gallery are supported by the Cultural Endowment of Estonia.
