The Black Ball also known as La bola negra, based on the plot of the manuscript by Spanish poet Federico García Lorca with the same name, tells the story of three men whose lives are intimately connected through desire, pain and inheritance, across three different eras – 1932, 1937, and 2017.

Second Spanish film winning the Best Director Award at Cannes Film Festival after All About My Mother by Pedro Almodóvar. Oscar-winning actress Penélope Cruz and 8-time Oscar-nominated actress Glenn Close made surprise cameos.
