Giacomo Puccini’s masterpiece Tosca returns to the stage of the Latvian National Opera. Staged by director Dmitry Bertman, the passion between the opera diva Tosca and the artist Cavaradossi is played out in the luxurious interiors of Rome.
The luxurious setting has also become the backdrop of the relationship of Tosca and the head of the secret police, Scarpia, and the solution that culminates in Tosca’s subconscious in the final act.
