Old Town Festival

A one-day free event inviting Riga residents and city guests to enjoy music, food, and a lively spring atmosphere in the heart of the Old Town.

Festival programme:

11:00 – Opening of the event, children’s morning with entertainment for the whole family;
12:30 – Lielvārdes beer masterclass and tasting;
13:00 – Special guest: children’s ensemble DZEGUZĪTE;
14:00 – Comedian and parody artist Ernests Cimanskis;
14:30 – LATVIJAS UN IGAUNIJAS SIMPĀTISKAIS ORĶESTRIS (THE LATVIAN-ESTONIAN FRIENDSHIP ORCHESTRA);
14:30 – Contemporary dance performance by LE++ ;
15:00 – Novuss tournament in cooperation with Lielvārdes beer;
15:00 – Lielvārdes beer masterclass and tasting;
15:00 – Competition for the title “Vecrīga’s strongest”;
16:00 – Dance the evening away with BITĪT’ MATOS.  Traditional Latvian “zaļumballe” – an open-air dance party. Lively live music and dance-friendly rhythms will create the perfect atmosphere to dance, socialize, and truly enjoy this type of activity just like locals do.
19:00 – Live performances by well-known and popular Latvian musicians will be bringing the festival to an energetic and memorable finale. Band PND;
20:30 – The most pleasant surprise this spring – LABVĒLĪGAIS TIPS;
22:00 – Band OLAS; 

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy a market of local artisans and home producers, a food court, various activities, and a DJ performing between concerts. This year, the festival date coincides also with World Circus Day.
