Macchiato XVI – A Festival of Art, Music and Creative Encounters

From 26 June to 3 July, Creative Factory Veldze will host Macchiato XVI – Sun Rabbits, an international cultural festival organised by the Italian collective Macchiato Celebratio Artis.

Dedicated to art born through encounters and collaboration, the festival brings together artists, musicians, performers, and creatives from different countries in a celebration of contemporary culture and exchange.

At the heart of the festival is a visual art exhibition exploring the theme “Sun Rabbits”, alongside “Muro Ondoso” (“The Wavy Wall”) – a collective, ever-changing installation where artworks, objects, and stories from different artists and collectors interact in a living salon-style environment.

Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a diverse programme of concerts, contemporary dance performances, literary events, artist talks, workshops, performances, DJ sets, and other interdisciplinary activities. Set within one of Riga’s most vibrant creative districts, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience contemporary art in an open, international, and community-driven atmosphere.
