Horre Zeiger Bigband “Autumn Romance: Toomas Tutt 80”

The concert on 24 October is special for several reasons!
The Horre Zeiger Bigband is celebrating its 72nd anniversary, with Aulis Nemvalts taking the stage as the orchestra’s conductor for the first time.
The concert will also pay tribute to the orchestra’s long-time conductor Toomas Tutt and celebrate his 80th birthday! The soloists are Astra Põder, Annely Martensoo, Marii Väljataga and Villem Loonde.
The programme features several arrangements by Toomas Tutt. What makes his arrangements special is that they are almost entirely his own creations. His starting point has usually been simply a melody with chord symbols or material published in song collections. He never transcribes recordings by other orchestras by ear, at most incorporating a few important fragments.
