HooQy Day: “HBCU Made vs. PWI Paid”
The 2nd Annual Kappa Psi HooQy Day: HBCU Made vs. PWI Paid is a vibrant outdoor gathering for Black professionals across the DMV to take a trip back in time and celebrate the college experiences that helped shape who we are today. Whether you’re HBCU Made or PWI Paid, this event is rooted in community, nostalgia, and good-spirited fun. We’re bringing the quad to life with line dancing, spades, kickball, stroll-offs, music, and plenty of friendly debate about the institutions that played a role in our journeys.
More than just games, this experience creates space for meaningful and respectful dialogue between HBCU and PWI graduates. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the impact of both paths, connect across shared and different experiences, and simply enjoy a day of wholesome fun outside—just like the good old days.
