HIGH GROUND presents: Eden Burns b2b Nice Girl

Located on Wurundjeri Country, HIGH GROUND is a live music series inspired by Fitzroy’s traditional name, Ngár-go – an area long synonymous with creative independence, resistance, and pushing boundaries.

Launching this winter across The Night Cat, The Evelyn and Punters Club, HIGH GROUND celebrates Fitzroy’s rich musical legacy with a multi-genre collision of sound from the fringes to the forefront. Running from June through August, the program features a broad lineup of live music, bringing audiences back to Fitzroy’s beloved independent venues during the colder months.

Eden Burns and Nice Girl join the line up for a late night, back to back session in the the round. Eden’s Big Beat Manifesto run and releases through Public Possession have helped define that loose, oddball, dancefloor-minded sound he’s become known for. Nice Girl, aka Ruby Kerkhofs, brings a similarly singular energy… Kiwi-born, now based in Naarm/Melbourne, with a run of releases on Houses in Motion and Public Possession that move between trippy house, tribal swing, psychedelic electronics and properly sideways club music.

Set times are subject to change. When ticket sales have closed on the day of the show they may still be available at the door.

The venue reserves the right to refuse admission to any person.Intoxicated persons will not be admitted. Dangerous behaviour including Crowd Surfing, Stage Diving, Moshing and Violent Dancing is not allowed and will result in your immediate removal from this venue. Inappropriate behaviour at this venue will lead to your banning.
