Since its debut in 1997, GongMyoung has enriched the lyrical heritage of Korean traditional music with dynamic rhythms. The ensemble’s distinctive sound blends its own handcrafted bamboo instrument — also named gongmyoung — with a wide range of wind and percussion instruments.Having given more than 200 performances in approximately 60 countries, GongMyoung has established itself as one of Korea’s leading ensembles bringing contemporary Korean music to audiences worldwide.
