Ārijs Šķepasts 65th birthday concert – The Stars Are Falling

The Stars Are Falling concert will celebrate the 65th birthday of conductor and composer Ārijs Šķepasts. The concert promises to be a magnificent moment of unity for Latvia’s choral community, as a wide array of Latvian choirs — 16 in total — will take the stage in the Great Hall of the Riga Latvian Society House to present musical stories and magnificent sounds. The concert program includes the most beautiful original songs composed by Ārijs Šķepasts, as well as audience-favorite arrangements of Latvian folk songs, which over the years have earned a permanent place in the Latvian choral repertoire and are distinguished by the conductor’s characteristic emotionally expressive style.
