Georges and Anne are in their eighties. They are cultivated, retired music teachers who have spent their lives devoted to their careers and to each other. Savouring their golden years in a comfortable apartment, their serene life is disrupted when Anne experiences a stroke that leaves her partially paralysed. As devoted as Georges is, the infirmities of aging shake his devotion. As he grapples with the formidable task of becoming Anne’s full-time caretaker, the couple’s bond of love is severely tested.
