Film jutustab moebrändi Akris saja-aastasest ajaloost – tegemist on ühega vähestest tänaseni tegutsevatest moemajadest, mis on endiselt asutajaperekonna omanduses. Reiner Holzemeri filmis valmistuvad Albert ja Peter Kriemler Pariisi moeshowdeks, pakkudes eksklusiivset pilguheitu perekonna juhitud moemaja telgitagustesse. Alates kangaste hankimisest Milanos kuni loovmeeskonna tööni St. Gallenis Šveitsis.
Filmi üheks kõrghetkeks on rõivaproov Monaco printsessi Charlène’iga ning haruldane intervjuu tunnustatud arhitekti David Chipperfieldiga, kes on kujundanud Akrise kauplusi. Albert Kriemler ammutab oma kollektsioonidele sageli inspiratsiooni kunstist ja arhitektuurist. The film chronicles the hundred-year history of Akris, one of the few remaining fashion houses still owned by its founding family. Reiner Holzemer follows Albert and Peter Kriemler as they prepare for their shows in Paris, offering an exclusive look behind the scenes of the family-run house, from sourcing fabrics in Milan to the work of the creative team in St. Gallen.
A fitting with Princess Charlène of Monaco and a rare interview with acclaimed architect David Chipperfield, who designs the Akris stores, count among the film’s highlights. Albert Kriemler often draws inspiration for his collections from art and architecture. The film explores his collaborations with Imi Knoebel, Anton Corbijn, Thomas Ruff, and
Sou Fujimoto.
With a keen eye for detail and a personal touch, the film traces the story of the Kriemler family – from founder Alice Kriemler-Schoch, through her successors Max and Ute, to the brothers Albert and Peter, who today lead Akris with creativity and a deep sense of purpose. They have succeeded in bringing the brand to international prominence – well beyond the borders of Switzerland.
