Родичі (2026)

Бабусі Надії виповнюється вісімдесят, але її родина вже встигла взятися за поділ спадщини — починаючи з будинку в селі неподалік Києва. Онука дарує новенький диван. Син спокушає розкішним надгробком. Невістка розробляє хитромудрий план, щоб заволодіти будинком раніше за всіх, а тим часом усе село із задоволенням стежить за цією боротьбою й робить ставки на те, хто кого перехитрить. Як не дивно, єдина людина, яка по-справжньому насолоджується видовищем, — це сама бабуся Надія. Поки родина воює за спадщину, яка їй іще не належить, усі встигають закохуватися, сваритися між собою, поховати іменинницю-бабусю, поки вона ще цілком жива, і помиритися — лише для того, щоб знову почати сварку. Адже в українському селі запах спадщини здатен затьмарити навіть найміцніші родинні цінності. Та попри всі інтриги, зради й напрочуд невдалі рішення, дещо виявляється сильнішим за паркани та межі ділянок: родина… навіть якщо її члени регулярно намагаються вбити одне одного.

Grandma Nadiia is turning eighty, but her family is already busy dividing the inheritance —starting with the house in a village outside Kyiv. The granddaughter gifts a brand-new sofa. The son lures with a grand gravestone. The daughter-in-law masterminds an elaborate plan to secure the house before anyone else does, while the entire village enjoys the show as the battle unfold, placing bets on who will outsmart whom. Oddly enough, the only person truly enjoying the spectacle is Grandma Nadiia herself. As the family wages war over an inheritance that isn’t theirs yet, they find plenty of time to fall in love, pick fights with each other, bury the birthday Grandma while she’s still very much alive, and make up—only to start fighting all over again. Because in a Ukrainian village, the scent of inheritance can overpower even the strongest family values. Yet despite all the schemes, betrayals, and spectacularly bad decisions, one thing proves stronger than fences or property lines: family… even if its members regularly try to kill each other.
