The Freelancers

A bright and touching story about how even the smallest dreams deserve applause, while true intimacy sometimes proves more important than great success.

What’s left there for an actor when all the roles are done with?

A lyrical comedy about people who dreamed their whole lives of being heard, but ended up as extras in someone else’s story. In a world of odd jobs, unfulfilled hopes, and endless compromises, they continue to perform because they simply don’t know how to live in any other way.

Director: Edvīns Klimanovs.
The play was written by the Romanian playwright Ion Sapdaru.

It is performed in Russian with surtitles in Latvian and English.
