BRIC partners with The Center for Fiction for an eclectic afternoon of family fun, culture, and music. Multigenerational crowd-pleaser DJ Marc Bars spins an adventurous mix of pop, hip-hop, and classic party anthems. The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music presents talented local players as accompaniment to a bilingual live reading of Katie Yamasaki’s picture book, Mural Island. Godfathers of the Brooklyn Afrobeat scene, Antibalas will get the whole family dancing, closing out the evening with their infectious horn-driven jams.
This event is part of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York City’s longest-running, free, outdoor performing arts festival. View the whole summer 2026 lineup here.
