OPERA STORIES

With Alessandro De Rosa in conversation with Livia Aragona e Paolo Fabbri

An encounter exploring the relationship between music and society in the second half of the twentieth century through the lives and work of Ennio Morricone and Boris Porena. Their paths were very different, yet both shared a vision of music as a form of thought and a way of engaging with the world.Moving from composition to research, from music for film to pedagogical and social reflection, the discussion weaves together ideas, experiences and biographical moments to reveal the complexity of two remarkable figures who continually questioned the role of music within the culture and society of their time.
